A little about me
I believe my strength as a designer comes from my background in fine art. I take great pride in the designs & illustration I create. I always strive to deliver an effective, brand-focused aesthetic.
Ever since I was little I had vibrant dreams, and along with it an active imagination that didn't fade much as I grew up. I loved animals just as much as my human friends (sometimes more so) and being out in nature, studying critters and fauna was fascinating. Escaping life into a great book while curled up in the shade of a tree was a perfect day for me. My artistic goals started in high school. I got into Advanced Placement art classes in my city's magnet school so that I could earn college credits. I took on commissions for paintings, sculptures, sewing projects, embroidery and other crafts along with my after school job. By the time I started college, I had the experience of a few dozen clients under my belt. I expanded to graphic design clientele while at Ringling College of Art and Design. I started my official small business as a freelancer in my sophomore year.
One of my favorite things is to watch someone's face light up with laughter when they see the irreverent designs on display at one of my craft shows. And a truly amazing experience as an artist is when a client told me that one of my illustrations symbolized an important part of their life, and having it with them has helped them through tough times. To me, the art that we put on our walls is just as meaningful when it fills us with joy as it is when it's a piece that makes us contemplative. I hope that I offer a good variety of both sides of that coin. Because that reflects who I am inside.
